This policy covers the Futr marketing website at getfutr.app. The Futr mobile app has its own in-app privacy policy that governs your account and activity inside the app — this policy does not.
This Privacy Policy explains how Futr Labs, Inc. (“Futr,” “we,” “us”) collects and uses information when you visit getfutr.app (the “Site”). Futr is a play-money social app — we never process real-money wagers or payments.
Information we collect
- Usage & analytics data. If analytics are enabled, we collect anonymized usage data — pages viewed, approximate location (country/region), device and browser type, and referring site — to understand how the Site is used.
- Technical logs. Our hosting provider automatically logs standard request data such as IP address and timestamps to deliver and secure the Site.
- Waitlist email (legacy). Before the Futr app launched, we ran an email waitlist. The Site no longer collects new signups. If you joined that waitlist, we still hold the email address you gave us so we can keep you posted — until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it (see Your rights).
How we use your information
- To measure and improve the performance of the Site.
- To protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats.
- If you joined our waitlist, to send you launch and product news until you unsubscribe.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your email for unrelated third-party marketing.
The Futr app
The Site links to the Futr app on the Apple App Store. When you download or use the app, any information you provide there is governed by the app’s own in-app privacy policy and by Apple’s terms — not by this policy.
Service providers
We share information only with the vendors that help us run this Site, who process it on our behalf:
- Resend — stores the waitlist contacts we previously collected and handles unsubscribe requests and any remaining emails.
- PostHog — product analytics (only if enabled).
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and security.
Cookies & analytics
If analytics are enabled, our analytics provider may set cookies or use similar technologies to measure usage. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the Site will still function.
Data retention
We keep any waitlist email we hold until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until it is no longer needed for the purposes above. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails, or by emailing us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].
Children
Futr is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
We and our service providers may process your information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
